Biography
Lori Diamond has more than 15 years of public relations and integrated marketing communications experience in the areas of beauty, accessories, food/nutrition and lifestyle. In February 2004, she left the corporate sector to fulfill a life-long ambition: to establish her own PR consulting practice with the goal of putting new brands on the map.
Most recently, Lori was vice president of communications for GoSMILE where she helped build a PR infrastructure and seed the message of the critical link between gum disease and heart disease. Previously, she was director of global communications for Aveda where she helped cultivate awareness of beauty as part of a holistic lifestyle that encompasses wellness and environmental responsibility. She was also director of communications for Estee Lauder International, guiding the PR efforts in 40 countries.
Before joining the Estee Lauder Companies, Lori worked for Ketchum Public Relations where she launched Parsol 1789, then the most advanced broad-spectrum UVA filter on the market, bringing attention to UVA’s implication in skin aging. She also worked on a variety of nutrition education programs for clients, Roche Vitamins, Mead Johnson and Dole’s “5 A Day” CD-ROM program, targeted to children.
Earlier in her career, Lori worked at The Body Shop, helping build a cohesive regional communications structure to implement national campaigns, special events and promotions across the U.S. She was trained in public relations via Ruder Finn’s Executive Training Program in New York.
Lori graduated with a degree in psychology from Washington University in St. Louis. She resides in Manhattan.
